HALL OF FAME

Dogs of the past and present that paved the way for our future.
Some may be gone, but they will never, EVER be forgotten.

Hall of Fame: Testimonials

“If there is a heaven, it’s certain our animals are to be there. Their lives become so interwoven with our own, it would take more than an archangel to detangle them.”

Pam Brown

“Dogs come into our lives to teach us about love, they depart to teach us about loss. A new dog never replaces an old dog, it merely expands the heart. If you have loved many dogs your heart is very big.”

Erica Jong

“Dogs die. But dogs live, too. They live brave, beautiful lives. They protect their families. And love us. And make our lives a little brighter. And they don’t waste time being afraid of tomorrow.”

(KENNEL NAME WITHHELD) LAST TANGO IN PARIS

"TANGO"

July 2009 - October 2010

Tango was named after the tradition at her kennel of naming after movies, of naming after military names (Tango for T) and Paris for a little town in Maine which is my family's summer slice of heaven.
Tango was a beautiful merle with cream points.  She came of out the crate teeth first and never stopped.  She was highly reactive to my special needs son and 3 trainers were unable to help us with it until we discovered training for rally obedience.  Just as we had finally started breaking through with a strict training regime, she succumbed to what was either a liver shunt or a mass injestion of poisonous mushrooms.  We haven't seen the amount vets tell us her liver enzymes indicated she would have injested, so we suspect something else was at work.  Tango was a small 35 pounds and barely standard height.  We loved her - she was my husband's favorite.  We miss her every day and she started my mission to ensure I did a better job than I received from her breeder when I asked for guidance (and was turned away) and promised to educate myself and build a network so anyone who got a puppy from me in the long run would never go through what I did.  That's all I can say without crying or will say without making anyone angry.
Tango was stunningly beautiful with a marbled left eye.  I learned my first "hands on" conformation faults with her.  Sway back, pacing gait, straight rear, no shoulder angulation… you name it - but she had the most amazing ear set!!!  And she grinned - she always grinned, just for us.  I miss that.

UKC Altered BIS, CL1-H (agility), RL1-AOE, RL1X2, RL2, RL2X2, RL3, UR01, UR02, AKC RN, RA, BN, ASCA RN, JS-N

2009 - 2019

Charlie was a whirlwind from beginning to end. A high-energy, anxious, loving girl who was always the center of attention anywhere she went. She was the dog that flopped over onto her back anytime someone came close, demanding that her belly be scratched. She was also my first and last show dog, and even earned me my first Best in Show ribbon. Gosh I was so proud of her. I continued to help my mom at dog shows, but it never felt right competing with another dog.

She was such a memorable dog. Whether she was climbing fences on the 4th of July, barking like mad at anything that moved, or crawling into your skin when a storm was approaching. She had such a huge personality and was such a bright light in our lives.

I wish I could remember the early years with her, so I could look back and laugh, but I mostly remember the end. She was taken from us so quickly that I never really had time to process it. I would look for her on the landing of the stairs, or laying on the floor of the kitchen, or outside my room during a thunderstorm; but she was never there anymore.

Charlie was my heart dog, my best friend, we grew up together. She was so very special, and I beat myself up every day for not realizing how much pain she was in. Sometimes I look back and wish I could have saved her, if only I’d realized it was cancer, but hindsight is always 20/20.

I will never forget this dog. She will remain with me for as long as I live: in this little vial wrapped around my neck, in my heart, and in my soul. I only hope that one day I’ll get to see her again.

I love you my sweet girl, forever and always.

Crue is our boy - our Awesome boy.  He has filled our hearts, our home, and is the quiet leader of the pack.  He's just that kind of dog. He takes his role as guardian of our children very seriously. Quiet, patient, settled, and constantly watching.  His strong guardian instincts represent the Aussie standard perfectly.  A true breed standard Aussie when you meet him.  Once accepted, he'll quietly ask for affection and NEVER forget a treat!  He doesn't always see the point in trialing since he does all his trained behaviors naturally when helping us out around the house and yard... so he's taught me to take myself less seriously and HAVE FUN!!  I never act sillier than when I am trying to get him to play with me in rally obedience!

Mike was supposed to be the very dignified Summit.  It never worked!  If you met him, you'd just know.  Mike was named after the Motley Crue song by the same name, Take Me to the Top.  Mike is also the Army Phonetic for "M" as well as the lead singer of Sixx A.M., Nikki Sixx's band.  Mike was also aptly named because his dad's call name is "Joe" so it just worked!
